Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our services and healthcare offerings

Do you accept insurance, and which providers do you work with?

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and Medicare. We also offer self-pay options and flexible payment plans for uninsured patients. Our billing team can verify your coverage and explain your benefits before your first visit.

How do I schedule an appointment, and what is the typical wait time?

You can schedule appointments online through our website, by calling (702) 990-3033, or by visiting our office. We typically offer same-week appointments for urgent concerns and can schedule routine visits within 1-2 weeks. Same-day appointments are available for acute illnesses and emergencies.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, a list of current medications (including dosages), any relevant medical records or test results from other providers, and a list of questions or concerns you'd like to discuss. We also recommend arriving 15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork.

Do you offer telehealth or virtual consultations?

Yes, we offer secure telehealth services for follow-up visits, medication management, mental health counseling, and certain acute conditions. Virtual visits are conducted through our HIPAA-compliant platform and are available to patients in Connecticut. Some services still require in-person visits for physical examinations or procedures.

What are your office hours, and do you offer weekend appointments?

Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We offer extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 8:00 PM, and Saturday morning appointments from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Our 24/7 nurse line is available for urgent medical advice outside of office hours.

How do I request prescription refills?

You can request prescription refills through our patient portal, by calling our office at least 2-3 business days before you run out of medication, or by having your pharmacy send the refill request directly to us. We'll review your request and send the prescription to your preferred pharmacy. Controlled substances require an office visit for refills.

What preventive care services do you recommend?

We recommend annual wellness exams, age-appropriate cancer screenings (mammograms, colonoscopies, Pap smears), blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol checks, diabetes screening, bone density tests for seniors, and immunizations according to CDC guidelines. Your personalized preventive care plan will be discussed during your annual visit.

Yes, we have a network of trusted specialists including cardiologists, endocrinologists, orthopedic surgeons, dermatologists, and mental health professionals. Your primary care physician will coordinate referrals and ensure seamless communication between providers. We also assist with scheduling specialist appointments and transferring your medical records.
